Sapa is the capital of Sapa District in Lào Cai Province in Northwestern Vietnam. This frontier township is well-known for its natural landscapes, green forests and the terraced rice fields. There are ethnic minority groups live in this town such as Hmong, Dao, Giáy, Pho Lu, and Tay, therefore, it is therefore culturally diverse.

Weather and best time to visit Sapa
The climate of Sapa is unique; it features a subtropical climate in the summer and a temperate climate during the winter. The lowest temperature í 1°C (33.8 °F) and the highest temperature is 30°C (84.9 °F). July and August are the warmest months, and the coldest period is from December to January. It has snow in some years on the highest peaks.
From March to May and September to November are the best periods for tourist to visit Sapa. Especially, in between September to October the visitors can see the scenery of Sapa’s terraces at its best and the weather is very comfortable at this time, sunny during the day and cold at night.
