The busy Cai Rang Floating Market in Mekong Delta

Take a 30-minute-boat from Ninh Kieu Wharf; you will reach Cai Rang floating market, one of the three biggest markets in Mekong Delta. Take opportunity to experience a very peaceful floating down the river in the early morning, you will feel fascinated!

Like other floating markets in Mekong Delta region (ex. Cai Be, Phung Hiep, Phong Dien, Tra On …), Cai Rang owns many shops and stalls which are boats of different sizes. The main goods sold in the floating market are farm products and specialties of Cai Rang Town, Chau Thanh District and the neighboring vicinity. On each boat, goods are hung on a long pole, which make it easy for buyers and tourists to find what they need. You can visit Cai Rang Floating Market on any days of a week, as it opens all day from the early morning until the late afternoon, but it is most crowded from sunrise to about 9:00.
